The overwhelmingly popular legislation would secure American elections and protect citizens’ votes by requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration, and the use of Voter ID nationwide.
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) today introduced bipartisan legislation with Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) to protect Americans’ constitutional rights and data privacy. The Government Surveillance Reform Act reauthorizes Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) with necessary Fourth Amendment protections to block the federal government from buying Americans’ private data from shady sources. Cosponsors include U.S. Senators Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). U.S. Representatives Warren Davidson (R-OH-08) and Zoe Lofgren (D-CA-18) introduced the House version of this bill.
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) today introduced legislation to advance American manufacturing and energy dominance by cutting outdated red tape around domestic trade shipping. The Protecting Access to American Products Act will allow flexibility from Jones Act restrictions so American businesses and energy producers can sell to American customers. U.S. Representative Ben Cline (R-VA-06) introduced the House version of this bill.
