As a result of his “A” grade, Senator Lee was given the NTU’s Taxpayers’ Friend Award.

Lee Introduces Automatic Flight Risk Status for Non-Citizen Criminals

The announcement follows the arrest of a non-citizen rideshare driver who announced plans to flee to Peru following the alleged sexual assault of a university student in Salt Lake City this week.

Senator Lee serves as Chairman of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition Policy, and Consumer Rights and is joined on the amicus brief by U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), the subcommittee’s Ranking Member.
