Lee Introduces Bill to Repeal the Impoundment Control Act

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) introduced legislation to repeal the Impoundment Control Act (ICA) of 1974, a law that undermines the constitutional authority of the President to exercise fiscal restraint by declining to spend appropriated funds. Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) has introduced a companion bill in the House.
